The Ghosheni Group in Tanzania have tapped into the soft scheme loan offered by the Municipal Authorities to expand their agribusiness enterprises.
The loan, which is worth about $37,000, has enabled the Ghosheni Group to introduce modernized poultry system in Tanzania.
The Ghosheni Group, a spin-off of the ENABLE-TAAT project in Tanzania, benefitted from the loan through the partnership between ENABLE-TAAT and the Municipal Authorities. The ENABLE-TAAT in December 2022 signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Municipal Government to secure low interest rate loans for trained beneficiaries of the project. For Ghosheni, the investment would lead to increased productivity, profitability, and an impressive revenue stream, enabling them to successfully repay the loan and contribute to the overall growth of the agricultural sector in the region.
This financial stability has empowered them to hire three additional young individuals, creating more employment opportunities and broadening their positive impact on the community.
