Zambia Youth Agripreneur (ZYA) operates from the IITA Southern Africa Research and Administration Hub outside of Lusaka, Zambia. It works closely with the Agricultural Knowledge and Training Centre Golden Valley Agricultural Research Trust in nChisamba. The group’s activities is related to grain (maize) production, cassava processing and fish production. Commercial-scale processing cassava into starch is under development by ZYA and it works closely with two companies, Premiercon Starch and Nazya Foods, in this regard.
