The IITA Tanzania Youth Agripreneurs conducted a two-day training on good agricultural practices on Cassava production (root and stem) and entrepreneurship skills at Mkuranga District, Tanzania.
The training was in collaboration with the local government authority at Mkuranga District and SIFO organization with a total of 43 youth present. The youth were happy to have received the training which will help them improve and acquire high yield on cassava compared to the way they have been producing.
The youths trained have decided to start a business on cassava stem multiplication, because it has been seen as an opportunity to increase their income.
